Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on extortion against a citizen of United Arab Emirates committed in Yerevan was completed in the Investigative Division of Ajapnyak and Davitashen administrative districts of RA Investigative Committee.
 

In April, 2015 a report was received from a citizen of UAE, Iranian nationality, who studies in “Haybusak” University in Yerevan, informing that in March, 2015 a resident of Yerevan threatened him with a rifle and demanded money at the parking lot of the same university telling that everybody gave him money.
 

A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Ajapnyak and Davitashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department. Through preliminary investigation of the criminal case circumstances of the case were found.
 

On the base of the evidence obtained during pretrial proceeding the citizen of RA H. Bazaryan was charged with demanding money from the citizen of UAE with threat to use violence pursuant to the Part 1 of the Article 182 of RA Criminal Code. Detainment was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.
 

The criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to the prosecutor supervising the legality of the criminal case.
