In the result of investigatory and other procedural actions conducted within the criminal case investigated in Shirak Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee it was found out that 19 year-old resident of Gyumri, learning that her 23 year-old she-friend had broken up with her boyfriend, under the direct organization and management of her she-friend, in order to take revenge tried to illegally deprive the latter’s 23 year-old boyfriend of life. On 20 August, 2020 at about 20:00 in order to get clarifications the girls met 23 year-old young man in the central park during which 19 year-old girl approached the young man from the back and cut and injured his neck with a razor she had taken beforehand then the two girls left.

Through investigation it was found out that on 27 March, 2020 in one of the apartments of Mush district of Gyumri 23 year-old man tried to have sexual intercourse with 19 year-old resident of Gyumri against her will. However, the latter started to resist and the young man could not complete his criminal intention.

Besides, on 15 August, 2020 from 11:30 to 12:30 in one of the apartments of a house located in Minas Avetisyan Street of Gyumri the young man by using violence had sexual intercourse with 19  year-old girl’s she-friend against her will.

On 22 August, 2020 a decision was made to combine the criminal cases initiated on the mentioned incidents and to continue preliminary investigation in one proceeding.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 19 year-old girl according to the Part 1 of the Article 34-104 of RA Criminal Code. Charge was pressed against her 23 year-old she-friend according to the Part 1 of the Article 38-34-104 of RA Criminal Code. Detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against them. Signature not to leaves was chosen as a pretrial measure against 23 year-old young man.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
