In the framework of the criminal case initiated in Shirak Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee a number of circumstances of murder attempt committed against the resident of Gyumri Georgi Hakobyan were found. Two persons were detained, including Artyom Ghazaryan who is popular with the criminal world.

Murder attempt against G. Hakobyan was committed on June 25, 2017 at 22:50 in front of one of the cafes of Gyumri.

In the result of investigatory and operative-searching actions conducted in the framework of the criminal case initiated in the RA IC Shirak Regional Investigative Department a number of circumstances significant for the criminal case have been found, the frame of those involved in the crime is being clarified.

On the base of the obtained evidence charge was pressed against Artyom Ghazaryan according to the Points 6 and 7 of the Part 2 of the Article 34-104 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code, detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against him. Charge was pressed against one more person for supporting murder attempt committed against G. Hakobyan according to the Part 1 of the Article 38-34-104 of RA Criminal Code. Detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.

In the result of comprehensive, objective and complete investigation actual data were obtained on illegal procurement and keeping of weapon and ammunition by the injured G. Hakobyan. The investigative body made a decision to press charge against him according to the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code.

Active investigatory actions are ongoing to find others possibly involved.
