Charge pressed against YSU student for murder, infliction of heavy bodily damage

In the framework of the criminal case investigated in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Norq-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee charge was pressed against the first year student of Yerevan State University for murder of the student of another faculty of the same university V. Muradyan, infliction of heavy bodily damage to the latter’s course mate R.Martirosyam.
 

It was earlier informed that on January 11, 2017 at about 15:30 a call was received from Ambulance service informing that the body of Vahe Muradyan(born in December, 1998) with cut-pierced injury on the left part of the chest was found on the table of the booth located in the yard of the house 28, Vardanants Street, Yerevan, another young man Raffi Martirosyan(born in March, 1999) with a diagnosis of “cut-pierced wound on the frontal surface of the left leg” was taken to “University Hospital N 1” from the same address.
 

A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Norq-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 and the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code.
 

In the result of urgent investigatory actions the crime was revealed; actual data were obtained on the participants of the argument during which V. Muradyan was inflicted bodily injury incompatible with life, R. Martirosyan was inflicted heavy bodily injury, the motive, as well as on the person having committed the apparent crime.
 

On the base of the obtained evidence charge was pressed against the first year student of YSU according to the Parts 1 of the Article 104 and the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code. The investigator submitted a motion to court to use detention as a pretrial measure against him, it was sufficed.
 

In the result of search conducted in his residence a grey jackknife was found; according to the suspect V. Muradyan and R. Martirosyan were stabbed with the mentioned knife.
 

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Forensic medical, forensic trace, forensic biological examinations were commissioned to find circumstances significant for the criminal case, the results of examinations have not been received yet.
 

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
