Within the criminal case investigated in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on banditry committed against fast food center charge was pressed against 27 year-old young man.

On April 2, 2019 the employee of fast food center operating in Koryun Street, Yerevan submitted a report in the Police informing that on April 1, 2019 at about 05:00 when she and her partner were at work place a masked person entered, pushed the employee to the floor and threatening with a knife required to give him the money available in the cash register.

On the same day – on April 2, 2019 a criminal case was initiated in Central Division of the Police according to the Point 4 of the Part 2 of the Article 175 of RA Criminal Code which was sent to the Investigative Division of Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee and was received as a proceeding.

In the result of operative-intelligence measures and investigatory actions the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is a resident of Abovyan town, born in 1991. The latter was arrested and questioned.

Besides, during preliminary investigation data were obtained that 27 year-old young man was involved in another criminal case, as well initiated according to the Points 2 and 3 of the Part 2 of the Article 177 of RA Criminal Code in the Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.

Pursuant to preliminary investigation data, from 21:00, January 20 to 06:00, January 21, 2019 with the purpose of swindling somebody else's property, by using technical means he broke the door of mobile phone center operating in Tigran Mets Avenue and stole mobile phones of different models causing damage in large amount – 1.000.000 AMD.

On April 4, 2019 a decision was made to join the mentioned criminal cases in one proceeding and continue the investigation in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative districts.

Charge was pressed against 27 year-old young man according to the Point 4 of the Part 2 of the Article 175 and the Points 2 and 3 of the Part 2 of the Article 177 of RA Criminal Code.

The employees and the owner of the fast food center, as well as the owner of mobile phone center were found the affected party.

The investigator submitted a motion to court to use detention as a pretrial measure against the young man, born in 1991. It was sufficed.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Measures are taken to provide the comprehensive, complete and objective investigation of circumstances of the case.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
