Charge pressed for false crime reporting
In the framework of the criminal case investigated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee a charge was pressed against the resident of the region of Lori, Oksana for false crime reporting on being kidnapped.
Particularly, she submitted a written report informing that on January 2, 2015 at about 19:00 with the purpose of marriage the residents of town Stepanavan, A. Baghdasaryan and E. Maleryan kidnapped and took her to Stepanavan by using violence and kept her a day in a flat against her will, accusing them of grave crime, that is kidnapping her by a group by using violence.
Through preliminary investigation it was found that she had not been kidnapped, in fact. On the base of the obtained evidence on February 16, 2015 Oksana was charged according to the Point 1 of the Part 2 of the Article 333 of RA Criminal Code.
Preliminary investigation is under way.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
