Necessary investigatory and operative-searching measures are ongoing in General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee to find all circumstances of murder attempt committed against the Head of Norashen community and his driver. As a result, charge was pressed against two persons.

On May 3, 2017 at about 18:40 on the third km of V. Artashat – Artashat road the persons having committed the alleged crime in the car of “Lada Priora” make with Russian plate number pursued the car of “VAZ 2107” make with plate number 44VV443 belonging to the head of Norashen community Norayr Grigoryan which was at that moment driven by the driver Karen Ghazaryan. Then they fired shots towards the latters and left the site.

As a result, K. Ghazaryan sustained firearm injuries on the upper third part of the left thigh, on the left leg and the upper part of the right collarbone and was taken to medical center.  

In the result of investigatory and other procedural actions of great volume conducted in the framework of the criminal case it was found that during commitment of crime the real numbers of the car of “Lada Priora” make were changed, the owner was identified, the frame of those involved was found, their actions were clarified.

On the base of the obtained evidence on May 29, 2017 4 persons were involved as a defendant and search was declared against them.

On September 21, 2017 two of the wanted R. Galstyan and A. Nazaryan returned to Armenia voluntarily.

Charge was pressed against A. Nazaryan according to the Points 1, 7 of the Part 2 of the Article 34-104 and the Part 2 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code, charge was pressed against R. Galstyan according to the Points 1 and 7 of the Part 2 of the Article 38-34-104 of RA Criminal Code. Detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against them.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing, measures are taken to find other persons involved in the alleged crime and bring them to the investigative body.
