Circumstances of call on double voting attempt in polling station N 9/55 found; voter left glasses in polling booth

In the result of investigatory actions conducted in the Investigative Division of Malatia-Sebastia administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee circumstances of the call on attempt of double voting in polling station N 9/55 were found.
 

Materials on attempt to vote more than once in polling station N 9/55 were received today in the Investigative Division of Malatia-Sebastia administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.
 

According to the call, at 09:30 the resident of Yerevan A. Hambardzumyan attempted to vote more than once in polling station N 9/55.
 

Necessary actions were conducted in the investigative division to find all circumstances of the case. As a result, actual data were obtained on the allegation that citizen A. Hambardzumyan went to polling station N 9/55 of Yerevan to take part in the RA National Assembly elections, got the polling ballots in the order defined by law, voted and left the polling station. Pursuant to the voter’s explanation, outside he realized that he had left his glasses in the polling booth and went to the polling station again, told the commission that he might have left his glasses in the polling booth. At that time one of the commission members demanded his passport and told that the citizen had already taken part in voting, then the latter was apprehended to the police station.
 

The citizen’s glasses were found in the polling booth and were given to him.
 

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
