Circumstances of the banditry against Yerevan resident R. Yeritsyan found, people having committed the apparent crime identified
In the framework of the criminal case being investigated in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Norq-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee circumstances of the assault committed against R. Yeritsyan were found, the people having committed the apparent crime were identified, as well.
Earlier it was informed that on 31 October, 2014 at about 17:00 two people entered the apartment of the resident of one of the houses located in Amiryan Str., Yerevan, R. Yeritsyan, tied her hands and feet with transparent and adhesive tape, battered her with violence dangerous for life and health inflicting her bodily damages, then they stole her golden rings and escaped.
In the result of the operative-intelligence measures and investigative activities carried out in the framework of preliminary investigation it was found that the people having assaulted the woman were RA citizens V. Sekoyan and N. Marutyan.
In the result of the violence committed by them R. Yeritsyan was inflicted close craniocerebral injury, brain concussion, numerous hemorrhages on her head and soft tissues of her face, bodily injuries in the form of scrapes.
In the result of the crime the victim was also inflicted a damage of particularly significant amount – 3.720,000 AMD in total.
Through the combination of the sufficient evidence obtained through preliminary investigation of the criminal case N. Marutyan was charged according to the Point 1 of the Part 3 of the Article 175 of RA Criminal Code. Detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.
At the same time, a decision was made on involving V. Sekoyan as a defendant.
The investigator’s motion on using detention as a pretrial measure against him was sufficed by the Court of First Instance of Kentron and Norq-Marash administrative districts. Search was declared against V. Sekoyan.Measures are being taken to find V. Sekoyan.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
