Investigative and other procedural actions are conducted within the criminal case investigated in Shirak Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee to find out circumstances of hooliganism committed during the car march organized by the political opposition on Yerevan highway in Gyumri.
 

The call on the incident was submitted on May 8, 2022 by the employee of Shirak Regional Department of the RA Police informing that on the same day during the car march organized by the political opposition, a row erupted between the citizens standing on Yerevan highway of Gyumri and the participants of the mentioned car march. 
 

In the result of taken measures it was found out that a group of young men getting out of the car approached the elderly men standing at the public transport stop located on Yerevan highway of Gyumri and started hitting them on different parts of their body.
 

A criminal case was initiated in Kumayri Police Division of Shirak Regional Department of the RA Police according to the Part 4 of the Article 258 of RA Criminal Code preliminary investigation of which is conducted in Shirak Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.
 

During preliminary investigation those affected by the criminal acts of the above-mentioned young men were identified; they are 74, 56, 72 and 84 year-old citizens.
 

Measures are taken to identify those having committed the alleged crime and to bring them to the investigative body.
 

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
