Preliminary Investigation of Part on two Defendants within Criminal Case on Hooliganism against Director of “Antares” Publishing Services by Using Violence Completed
Preliminary investigation of the part on two defendants within the criminal case investigated on hooliganism committed against the director of “Antares” publishing services combined with violence as well as using an item as a weapon was completed in the Division of Investigation of Grave Crimes of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.
During preliminary investigation circumstances significant for the case had been found out, two of those having committed the alleged crime had been identified; they are residents of Yerevan A. Kh. and A. A. In the result of investigative and other procedural actions their actions were personalized and relevant criminal legal assessments were given to them.
Charge had been pressed against one of them – A. Kh. according to the Part 4 of the Article 258 of RA Criminal Code and detention had been used as a pretrial measure against him, A. A. had been involved as a defendant, search had been declared and detention had been chosen as a pretrial measure against him.
Some days ago the latter was found and brought to the investigative body. Charge was pressed against him according to the Point 1 of the Part 3 of the Article 258 of RA Criminal Code.
The part on A. Kh. and A. A. was separated in a separate proceeding, preliminary investigation was completed and the criminal case with the motion to confirm the bill of indictment and send it to court was sent to the prosecutor.
It should be reminded that on April 27, 2022 from 20:50 to 21:05 some of those involved in the rally at Leo-Paronyan crossroad of Yerevan, roughly breeching the public order and showing obvious disrespect towards public ignoring the police officers’ legal demands to show proper behavior and not to breach the public order, had used violence against the director of “Antares” publishing services who was at the mentioned site, scolded, hit him with a bottles causing bodily injuries.
Preliminary investigation on others possibly involved in the accident is ongoing. Measures are taken to identify, find and bring them to the investigative body.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
