Criminal case initiated on beating advocates received in proceeding of Investigative Division of Kentron and Norq-Marash administrative districts
The criminal case initiated in the Police on the base of the report submitted by advocate Tigran Atanesyan was received in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Norq-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.
Taking the public interest into consideration we inform that on April 27, 2017 a report was received in the Police informing that on the same day advocate T. Atanesyan and his friend Armen Soghomonyan were beaten during the argument that took place in T. Atanesyan’s working room.
On the same day a criminal case was initiated in the Central Division of Yerevan Department of the RA Police according to the Article 118 of RA Criminal Code and was sent to Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee. The investigator received the criminal case in his proceeding, necessary investigatory measures are taken to find all circumstances of the case, T. Atanesyan and A. Soghomonyan were found the injured.
Inspection of the site was conducted, forensic medical examinations were commissioned.
Information on investigation results will be provided periodically.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
