The criminal case initiated on the incident that took place during wedding party was received in the proceeding of the Investigative Division of Malatia-Sebastia administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.

On September 28, 2018 at 00:30 a call was received informing that a resident of Yerevan, born in 1981, with a diagnosis of “cut-pierced wound on the left part of the chest” was taken to “Erebuni Medical Center”.

On September 28, 2018 a criminal case was initiated in Erebuni Division of the RA Police according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code which was sent to the Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.

On the same day at 19:20 a call was received from “Astghik Medical Center” in Erebuni Division of the Police informing that a 47 year-old man with initial diagnosis of “head injury” was taken to them. The man told that he had sustained the bodily injury during the argument that took place on September 27, 2018 in a restaurant complex. The latter told that on September 27, 2018 his daughter’s wedding party took place during which a row erupted which turned into brawl. Pursuant to the report the bridegroom’s relatives attacked him, hit him with hands and feet for numerous times on several parts of his body. Taking a knife from the table he stabbed the 37 year-old man on the left lateral part who was hitting him with hands and feet.

Through preliminary investigation it was found out that the mentioned persons had sustained the bodily injuries during the same incident. Urgent investigatory and other procedural actions were conducted. As a result, a number of circumstances, the motive were found out. The participants of the wedding party were questioned.

37 year-old man was found the injured party.

Forensic medical and forensic biological examinations were commissioned to find out circumstances significant for the criminal case.

Considering that the apparent crime was committed at the area of Malatia-Sebastia administrative district the criminal case was sent to the Investigative Division of Malatia-Sebastia administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to subordination.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
