Criminal Case Initiated on Infliction of Heavy Bodily Damage to 29 Year-Old Man
On April 16, 2020 at 18:55 a call was received from <Erebuni Medical Center> CJSC in Erebuni Police Division informing that a young man, born in 1991, with firearm injury on the head was taken to them.
A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 (willful infliction of heavy bodily damage) of RA Criminal Code.
In the result of investigatory actions and operative-intelligence measures it was found out that on April 16, 2020 at about 18:40 40 year-old citizen, having rented a house in Ayvazovski Street of Yerevan, fired a few times towards the metal containers inserted on the open balcony on the second floor of the house with lead bullets from an air pressure gun of «HATSAN» MOD.125E> type which belonged to him. As a result, one of the balls touched the young man on the head standing in the yard of the car service center operating in front of the mentioned house.
During the inspection conducted on the balcony metal containers with traces of shots were found and confiscated. During the inspection the person having committed the alleged crime presented the above-mentioned gun and three boxes of lead bullets which were confiscated. Signature not to leave was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.
Forensic medical, forensic trace and forensic ballistic examinations were commissioned.
Preliminary investigation is under way.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
