A criminal case was initiated in Armavir Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on murder of baby boy.

On September 29, 2018 a call was received from medical center on death of a baby boy. Through external examination traces of violence were found on the baby’s body.

The investigatory-operative group immediately left for the scene. In the result of measures taken the circumstances of inflicting the baby bodily injuries incompatible with life, the scene were found out, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified.

Pursuant to initial data violence had been used against the baby by father; on September 28, 2018 at about 21:00 in their residence located in the field the latter hit the baby boy, born on 18.12.2017 which caused the baby’s death.

Besides, according to the announcement of the victim's mother, on the same day father used violence against wife, as well.

A criminal case was initiated according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 and the Part 1 of the Article 118 of RA Criminal Code. Conduction of preliminary investigation of the criminal case was tasked to senior investigator of particularly important cases of Armavir Regional Investigative Department.

Urgent investigatory and other procedural actions were jointly conducted with the police officers, several people were questioned. Inspection of the scene was conducted with participation of baby's mother during which it was found out that first they had tried to hide the baby's body in the hole in order to conceal murder. But the baby's mother taking him escaped and took him to medical center where the baby's death was recorded by doctors.

The baby boy's father was arrested.
