In the framework of the criminal case investigated in Armavir Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee charge was pressed against 32 year-old man for murdering baby boy and beating wife.


It was earlier informed that on September 29, 2018 a call was received from medical center informing that a baby's body with traces of violence was taken to medical center.

The investigatory-operative group immediately left. In the result of urgent measures actual data were obtained that the baby had been inflicted bodily injuries incompatible with life in his residence by father.

Thus, pursuant to preliminary investigation data, on September 28, 2018 in their residence 32 year-old man used violence against baby boy, born on 18.12.2017. Particularly, he hit the baby on the face with his palm and fists then put the baby with the face down to the bed and hit on the back, head and different parts of the body, as well.

Noticing violence used against the baby by her husband, pursuant to obtained data, mother tried to intervene. However, father of the family used violence against her, as well hitting her on the head with a fist then slapped.

On the base of the obtained evidence charge was pressed today against 32 year-old man according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 and the Article 118 of RA Criminal Code. The investigator submitted a motion to court to use detention as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Necessary investigatory and other procedural actions are conducted together with the police officers to find out all circumstances of the case, to provide the comprehensive, objective and complete investigation.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
