A criminal case was initiated in Gegharkunik Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on stabbing two people.

On May 2, 2018 at 14:45 a call was received from Gavar hospital informing that the residents of Gavar town, born in 1999, D. Gharabaghtsyan with diagnosis of “cut-pierced penetrating wound on the right part of the chest, right-hand pneumothorax”, T. Hovhannisyan, born in 1998, with diagnosis of “cut-pierced penetrating wound on the right lumber region and right parapertral region and macro hematology” were taken to hospital.

A criminal case was initiated in Gegharkunik Regional Investigative Department according to the Point 1 of the Part 2 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code.

In the result of urgent investigatory actions it was found out that the young men had been stabbed on May 2, 2018 at about 14:00 during the argument that took place at the field located near school 9 of Gavar town.

Pursuant to witnesses’ testimonies the argument was related to stopping the car of “Mitsubishi” make sideways driven by D. Gharabaghtsyan and T. Hovhannisyan in August 23 Street of Gavar, blocking the road and preventing the car course.

Through the criminal case data were obtained on the identity of the person having committed the alleged crime and the relevant subdivisions of the police were tasked to take measures to find and bring him to the investigative body.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
