A criminal case was initiated in Martuni Investigative Division of Gegharkunik Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on stabbing 21 year-old young man. One person was arrested.

On May 11, 2018 at 15:40 a call was received from Martuni medical center informing that a resident of Gegharkunik region, born in 1996, with bodily injuries was taken to medical center.

Pursuant to preliminary investigation data, the 21 year-old man sustained bodily injuries on the same day at about 14:00 near their house during the argument with neighbors over domestic matters.

A criminal case was initiated according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code.

In the result of necessary measures a number of circumstances significant for the criminal case were found, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is the victim’s neighbor, born in 1993. He was arrested on the same day. The knife which was the crime tool was confiscated.

The 21 year-old young man was found the injured party.

Measures are taken to provide the comprehensive, complete and objective investigation of circumstances of the case, to personalize the actions of the people involved and to give them appropriate criminal legal assessment.

Forensic medical, forensic trace and forensic criminological examinations were commissioned to find circumstances significant for the criminal case.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
