Criminal Proceeding Initiated on 56 year-old Man’s Murder in Guard Post of Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine CJSC
Investigation is conducted in Syunik Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee to find out circumstances of 56 year-old man’s murder in the guard post of Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine CJSC located in Shgharshik settlement of Kapan community.
On April 12, 2023 at 18:10 a call and a report were received from “Kapan’s medical center” CJSC and Kapan Police station informing that there was a dead man’s body in the mentioned guard post of Kapan community on which there were firearm injuries.
On April 12, 2023 a criminal proceeding was initiated in Syunik Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 155 and the Part 1 of the Article 335 of RA Criminal Code.
Through inspection of the scene 56 year-old man’s body with firearm injuries on the frontal and back parts of the chest and right side of the head was found in the fulcrum of the 2nd protection group of the CJSC - in front of the mobile home. Samples, a double barrel gun, which was found in the mobile home, as well as other items of interest to investigation, were taken from the scene.
Forensic medical, forensic biological, forensic trace, forensic ballistic complex expertise was commissioned.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Investigative and procedural actions are conducted, operative-intelligence measures are taken to find out all circumstances of the case, to identify and find the person (persons) having committed the alleged crime.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
