Within the criminal case initiated in Syunik Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code necessary investigative actions are conducted to find out circumstances of 67 year-old woman’s murder.

On December 13, 2021 at 18:50 a call was received from a citizen informing that there was a woman’s body in one of the apartments of M. Stepanyan Street of Kapan town.

The investigative-operative group immediately left for the scene and on the bedroom floor of the above-mentioned apartment found 67 year-old woman’s body with obvious injuries on the head.

Through initial inspection, besides the injuries on the head, bodily injuries were also found on the frontal part of the neck of the body.

In the result of urgent measures the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is the victim’s son, born in 1979. The latter was arrested.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
