Within the criminal case investigated in Abovyan Investigative Division of Kotayk Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on abuses found in “National Center for Fight against Tuberculosis” SNCO the former Deputy Minister of Health V. Poghosyan was arrested.

It was earlier informed that a criminal case was initiated on a number of apparent abuses committed by the former officials of “National Center for Fight against Tuberculosis” SNCO found in the result of audit examination in SNCO according to the Point 1 of the Part 3 of the Article 179 and the Part 1 of the Article 308 of RA Criminal Code.

In the result of investigatory and other procedural actions of great volume conducted within the criminal case numerous abuses were found, the persons having committed the apparent financial abuses were identified, the time period and mechanism were found out.

Through investigation it was found out that the abuses were committed from 2014 to 2018. Data were obtained on the relation of the former RA Deputy Minister of Health to the above mentioned abuses.

Through investigation it was found out that from December, 2011 to November, 2016 holding the position of Deputy Minister of Health coordinating the work of HIV / AIDS prevention and organizing medical aid, implementation of programs funded by «Global Foundation of HIV / AIDS Prevention and Fight against Tuberculosis»  at the RA area V. Poghosyan apparently abused his authorities. On March 7, 2019 the latter was arrested on suspicion of committing the mentioned crime.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
