Deputy Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee, Head of General Military Investigative Department Artak Krkyasharyan met the parents of servicemen who died in peaceful conditions. The materials of criminal cases initiated on their death shall be examined by the NGO-s involved in public monitoring working group.  

IC Deputy Chairman presented the parents of dead servicemen the activity procedure and goal of the group. During the meeting Artak Krkyasharyan answered all the questions of the parents.

Let us remind that the Investigative Committee has already provided NGO-s with references of certain criminal cases to examine them. After examining the materials of the mentioned criminal cases the group will start examining the materials of criminal cases initiated on other servicemen’s death. Let us mention that NGO-s select the cases to be examined themselves and the Investigative Committee provides them with the required materials.

We remind that an agreement was signed between the RA Investigative Committee and ten NGO-s on formation of a public monitoring working group in order to reveal possible omissions during preliminary investigation of separate criminal cases initiated on servicemen’s death during military service, to disperse public interest on disputable circumstances, as well as to exclude various comments on those circumstances.
