In the framework of the criminal case investigated in the Investigative Division of Malatia-Sebastia administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee 37 year-old K. Karapetyan was charged with murder of his 25 year-old brother.

Earlier it was informed that on the morning of August 18, 2015 on the sofa of the living-room the body of the resident of the same house, Vladimir Karapetyan born in 1990 with injuries on the head was found.

On August 18, 2015 a criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Malatia-Sebastia administrative district according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code (murder).

Through preliminary investigation it was found that on August 17, 2015 early in the morning V. Karapetyan’s brother struck on his head with an axe then he left home. The young man’s body was found on the next day – on August 18 by his mother. On the same day K. Karapetyan was found and apprehended.

On the base of the obtained evidence on August 20 charge was pressed against K. Karapetyan according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code. The investigator submitted a motion to the court to use detention as a pretrial measure against him. The motion was sufficed.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
