In the result of verifying circumstances mentioned in the reports received in territorial subdivisions of the RA Investigative Committee on electoral breaches recorded during National Assembly elections held on April 2, 6 criminal cases were initiated on attempt to vote more than once. Three of the criminal cases were initiated in Yerevan, three in regions.
 

Criminal cases initiated are presented below pursuant to regions;
 

1. A criminal case was initiated in Armavir Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on attempt to vote more than once in polling station N 16/03.
 

Through materials prepared on the base of the report received in the investigative department it was found that on April 2, 2017 at 08:15 the resident of Armavir town A. Kaghzvantsyan went to polling station N 16/3 located in Armavir town to take part in National Assembly elections, got the polling ballots in the order defined by law and voted. Some hours later the voter again went to the same polling station and attempted to take part in voting once more. However the mentioned circumstance was found by the precinct election commission.
 

Considering that the prepared materials contain reason and base to initiate a criminal case according to the Article 34-153 of RA Criminal Code, a criminal case was initiated in Armavir Regional Investigative Department according to the Article 34-153 of RA Criminal Code. A. Kaghzvantsyan was arrested.
 

2. A criminal case was initiated in Syuniq Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on attempt to vote more than once in polling station N 34/67. 
 

Through materials prepared on the base of the report received in the investigative department it was found that the voter of polling station N 34/67 A. Karakhanyan took part in National Assembly elections in the mentioned polling station in the order defined by law. However, after a while at 19:53 he went to the polling station again to vote for the second time which was found through the device checking the finger print.  
 

Considering that the prepared materials contain reason and base to initiate a criminal case according to the Article 34-153 of RA Criminal Code, a criminal case was initiated in Syuniq Regional Investigative Department. Investigation is conducted.
 

3. A criminal case was initiated in Vayots Dzor Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on attempt to vote more than once in polling station N 36/25 by a precinct electoral commission member. 
 

Through materials prepared on the base of the report received in the investigative department it was found that the resident of Vayots Dzor, the member of commission member of precinct N 36/25 M. Mkrtchyan took part in voting as a voter in the order defined by law. Then at 18:45 he attempted to take part in voting again but it was found by the precinct electoral commission.
 

Considering that the prepared materials contain reason and base to initiate a criminal case according to the Article 34-153 of RA Criminal Code, a criminal case was initiated preliminary investigation of which is carried out in Vayots Dzor Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.
 

Necessary investigatory actions are conducted to provide the comprehensive, objective and complete investigation of the mentioned cases. Additional information on the results will be provided.
