Active investigatory and other procedural actions are conducted in the Investigative Division of Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee to find the circumstances of sustaining a firearm injury incompatible with life by 48 year-old S. Avagyan.

On October 3, 2017 at 20:35 a call was received from «Erebuni» medical center informing that the resident of Noragavit Samvel Avagyan, born in 1969, with a firearm injury on the abdomen, hemorrhagic shock was taken to medical center from the 8th street of Noragavit.

On the same day a criminal case was initiated in RA IC Investigative Division of Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 34-104 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code, an investigatory group was created.

Samvel Avagyan was found an injured party but was not able to give testimony.

Inspection of the site was conducted during which traces like firearm injury were found in the stall located at the considered address.

More than two dozen of people were interrogated.

Forensic ballistic and forensic chemical complex and forensic medical examinations were commissioned.

Working hypotheses have been worked out and investigatory actions of great volume are conducted to check them, Shengavit division of the Police was tasked to take measures to find all circumstances of the case and find the person having committed the alleged crime.

On October 4, 2017 at 06:30 «Erebuni» medical center informed that S. Avagyan died without regaining consciousness.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
