Minor charged with stabbing three persons in Stepanavan

In the framework of the criminal case investigated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee a number of circumstances, the motive of stabbing three persons were found. On the base of the obtained evidence charge was pressed against the arrested minor.

On December 29, 2015 at 21:40 a call was received from medical center of Stepanavan informing that three persons, two of which were minors, with cut-pierced wounds were taken to the medical center.

On December 29, 2015 a criminal case was initiated in Stepanavan Investigative Division of Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Point 1 of the Part 2 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code.

On the same day the mentioned three persons were found injured parties.

In the result of investigatory actions conducted in the framework of the criminal case the person having committed the apparent crime was identified; he was a resident of Stepanavan, a minor.

According to preliminary investigation data on December 29, 2015 at about 20:00 he argued with the injured parties in the park of Stepanavan.  During the row he stabbed the three participants of the row with a clasp knife that was with him inflicting two of them heavy damage threatening to life, one of them light damage and escaped.

On the base of the obtained evidence on December 31, 2015 the minor was charged according to the Point 1 of the Part 2 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code (willful infliction of heavy damage to health of two or more persons) and the Article 117 (willful infliction of light damage). Detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Necessary measures are taken to provide the comprehensive, complete and objective investigation of circumstances of the case.
