A criminal case was initiated in Shirak Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on murder of Stepan Markosyan born in 1940. In the result of urgent investigatory actions the person having committed the apparent crime was identified.
 

On May 5 at about 10:40 a call was received from ambulance station informing that there was a body in one of the houses of Ghorghanyan Street, Gyumri.
 

The investigatory-operative group immediately left for the site and found the body of the resident of the mentioned house, Stepan Markosyan, born in 1940, with cut-pierced injuries on the chest.
 

A criminal case was initiated in RA IC Shirak Regional Investigative Department and investigatory actions of great volume were conducted to reveal the crime. As a result, the crime motive was found, actual data were obtained on the person having committed the apparent crime; he is a resident of Gyumri, born in 1994. The suspect was arrested.
 

 Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
