On May 7, 2016 at 09:30 a call was received from “Charentsavan Medical Center” CJSC informing that there was a man lying on the third floor of one of the residential buildings of the 5^th district of Charentsavan.
 

The investigatory-operative group immediately left for the site. At the site – on the stairs of the third floor of the residential building the body of Samvel Harutyunyan, born in 1958, with traces of violence was found.
 

A criminal case was initiated in Charentsavan Investigative Division of Kotayq Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code. A decision was made to find Samvel Harutyunyan the injured party, forensic examination of the body was commissioned.
 

In the result of urgent investigatory actions conducted in the framework of the criminal case circumstances, motive of the man’s murder were found. According to initial data, on May 6, 2016 at about 18:00 Samvel Harutyunyan visited one of his acquaintances living in the mentioned building where he used alcohol with him and A. Khachatryan who had been hosted by the latter. A row erupted on domestic affairs during which A. Khachatryan struck Samvel Harutyunyan with hands and feet. At about 23:00 he got Samvel Harutyunyan out of the flat and left him on the stairs of the fourth floor. On May 7, 2016 at about 08:00 the host and A. Khachatryan went out. They noticed Samvel Harutyunyan lying on the stairs of the third floor and left.
 

A. Khachatryan was arrested, the host also was found and questioned.
 

Preliminary investigation of the criminal case is ongoing. Necessary investigatory actions are conducted to provide comprehensive, objective and complete investigation of the case.
