Opening of the administrative building of Aragatsotn Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee was held in the town of Ashtarak. The Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee Aghvan Hovsepyan took part in it.

The area of 268.7 square meters located at 4, N. Ashtaraketsi, town Ashtarak was attached to the RA Investigative Committee according to the RA Government’s decision N 1353-Ա of December 4, 2014.

In August 2015 the administrative building located at 4, N. Ashtaraketsi was renovated and currently the work of Aragatsotn Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee is organized in the above-mentioned administrative building. Renovation work was implemented in 2015 and offices for investigators, as well as separate rooms for preservation of evidence, archive and interrogation of minors were planned. The offices are equipped and there is a local heating system.

The improvement of working conditions of investigators is a continuous process which is neither a self-serving nor a supreme goal.

“The improvement of working conditions is not our main goal, it is just a means, an investment to improve the quality of investigation, as well as to increase the efficiency”, said the Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee highlighting the maintenance of legality and respect to human rights by investigators, the consistent application of internationally recognized norms.

By the order of the Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee the Head of Aragatsotn Regional Investigative Department Marat Duryan, senior investigator of particularly important cases Karen Karapetyan and the investigator of particularly important cases Benik Sargsyan were awarded for conscientious performance of their duties.
