Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on willful infliction of heavy bodily damage to fellow worker’s health was completed in the Investigative Division of Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee. Charge was pressed against the man, born in 1983.

Pursuant to data obtained during pretrial proceeding the person having committed the alleged crime, with his friends implementing construction work in one of the schools located in Nazarbekyan district of Yerevan, at the same time spending night in the same school, on May 23, 2019 from 21:30 to 24:00 after had supper with his fellow worker, born in 1985, during which he used alcohol. Under the influence of alcohol he invited his friends which his fellow worker did not like. Because of this a row erupted between them during which 36 year-old man hit 33 year-old fellow worker on his right eye first with a fist then with a metal fastener which caused the loss of eye sight and eye removal. Then he with his friends continued hitting the latter on different parts of his body causing bodily injuries.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 36 year-old man according to the Point 6 of the Part 2 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code. Detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation was completed and the criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to prosecutor supervising the legality of preliminary investigation.
