Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on murder of mother and son Hakobyans was completed in Shirak Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee. On the base of the obtained evidence charge was pressed against 2 persons.
 

It was earlier informed that on June 20, 2016 at 15:20 a call was received informing that Sargis Hakobyan, who lives in the district “Fountains” of Gyumri, and his mother do not respond and their cabin smells unpleasant.
 

Through inspection of the site in the cabin 228/268, Gyumri the bodies of the residents of the same cabin Sirik Hakobyan, born in 1936, and Sargis Hakobyan, born in 1960, were found with traces of violence.
 

In the result of investigatory actions of great volume conducted in the framework of the criminal case initiated in Shirak Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Point 1 of the Part 2 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code murder was revealed, the frame of those having committed the apparent crime was found.
 

According to actual data, on June 17, 2016 G. Khachanyan with his girl-friend A. Yenoqyan was hosted at Sargis and Sirik Hakobyans’, they had a meal together and had alcoholic drink. While being hosted a row over personal matters erupted between S. Hakobyan and G. Khachanyan which turned into beating during which bodily injuries incompatible with life were inflicted to Hakobyans by G. Khachanyan. Particularly, G. Khachanyan hit Sargis Hakobyan on the head with a glass container inflicting heavy injuries dangerous for life. As a result Sargis Hakobyan died of acute disorder of vital function of brain caused by close blunt craniocerebral injury.
 

Immediately after it he hit Sirik Hakobyan on her head with a hammer with metal head he had taken from the wardrobe. The latter had attempted to interfere into the argument. As a result, the old woman sustained close blunt craniocerebral injury and died of acute disorder of vital function of brain.
 

Through investigation it was also grounded that A. Yenoqyan witnessing the argument neither provided mother and son Hakobyans, who were in danger and were deprived of opportunity to take self-protecting measures, with necessary aid, nor called the relevant bodies.  
 

Besides, sufficient evidence were obtained on the allegation that in order to conceal the particularly grave crime and the person having committed the crime A. Yenoqyan together with G. Khachanyan cleaned the cabin from obvious traces thus concealing the particularly grave crime.  
 

On the base of the obtained evidence charge was pressed against G. Khachanyan according to the Point 1 of the Part 2 of the Article 104, charge was pressed against A. Yenoqyan according to the Part 1 of the Article 128 and the Part 1 of the Article 324 of RA Criminal Code.
 

The criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to prosecutor supervising the legality of preliminary investigation.
 

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
