Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on 37 year-old woman’s death in Shengavit was completed in the Investigative Division of Shengavit administrative district of the RA Investigative Committee.
 

On November 25 at 14:20 a report was received informing that the body of A. Maghaqyan, born in 1979, with a cut-pierced wound on the right thigh was found in one of the houses of Shengavit administrative district.
 

A criminal case was initiated in the RA IC Investigative Division of Shengavit administrative district according to the Point 14 of the Part 2 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code and investigatory actions of great volume were conducted to provide the comprehensive, objective and complete investigation of the case. 
 

As a result, sufficient actual data were obtained on the allegation that the woman had been inflicted bodily injury by her former boyfriend. Pursuant to preliminary investigation data, on the day of the incident the 37 year-old woman argued about personal matters with her former boyfriend during which the latter hit the woman on different parts of her body with a hand then on the upper part of her right thigh with a knife in the result of which femoral artery was hurt. As a result, the woman died.
 

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against the man according to the Point 14 of the Part 2 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code, detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.
 

The criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to court.
