Preliminary Investigation of Criminal Case on 52 year-old Woman’s Murder with Particular Cruelty Completed (video)

Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on murder of 52 year-old resident of Artashat with particular cruelty was completed in Ararat Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.

In the result of urgent investigative and other procedural actions conducted during pretrial proceeding all circumstances of murder among them the motive were found out.

Particularly, through investigation it was grounded that 21 year-old resident of Artashat town had been in tense relations with his father for a long time because of the latter’s close friend and frequently argued with him.

On June 12, 2021 at about 13:00 another quarrel took place on personal and family affairs between father and son during which they hit each other with fists and father told the son to leave the house.

The latter, being angry at what had happened, with the intent to deprive his father’s close friend of life, went to her house and without taking into account that her daughter-in-law and the latter’s child were at home, with particular cruelty stabbed the woman with two knives that were with him on different parts of her body in the result of which she fell to the ground.  

During it 52 year-old woman’s daughter–in-law hit the young man with a chair trying to prevent his actions however she could not; the young man went on stabbing the woman on different parts of her body and making sure that the woman was dead, left the house.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against the young man according to the Point 5 of the Part 2 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code. Detention was used as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation was completed and the criminal case with the motion to confirm the bill of indictment and send it to court was sent to the prosecutor.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
