Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on disorders implemented in Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative district on the evening of July 29 is ongoing in General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee.
 

In the framework of the criminal case necessary investigatory actions are conducted to provide the comprehensive, objective and complete investigation within competencies of the Investigative Committee.
 

Having assessed the obtained evidence on August 5 the investigative body made a decision to stop criminal prosecution against Yeghishe Petrosyan involved as a suspect and to terminate the proceeding on his part.
 

Taking public interest into consideration we inform that as of August 5 in the framework of the criminal case 8 persons were involved as a defendant. 3 of them were charged according to the Part 1 of the Article 225 of RA Criminal Code, 5 – according to the Part 2 of the Article 225 of RA Criminal Code.
 

Preliminary investigation is ongoing, investigatory and procedural actions of great volume are conducted to find all circumstances of the case, the relevant subdivisions of the police were tasked to take necessary operative-searching measures.
 

Information on procedural decisions made on the results of preliminary investigation will be provided periodically.
 

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
