A criminal case initiated on disorders implemented on the evening of July 29; there are persons arrested
A criminal case was initiated in General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee on disorders implemented in Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative district on the evening of July 29.
On July 30 materials on organizing disorders in Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative district by a group of people on the evening of July 29 were received from the Police adjunct to the RA Government.
Through examination of materials it was found that on July 29 at about 22:30 in Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative district a group of persons organized mass disorders during which violence was used against police officers performing their duties in the mentioned area in the result of which public security was endangered.
Considering that in the prepared materials there are apparent elements of crime envisaged by the Parts 1 and 2 of the Article 225 of RA Criminal Code a criminal case was initiated in General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases.
23 persons were arrested on suspicion of organizing mass disorders and being involved in them, including Armen Martirosyan and Andreas Ghukasyan.
According to initial data, 67 persons with bodily injuries inflicted in the result of events that took place on the evening of July 29 turned to medical centers to receive medical aid. Investigation is conducted to find circumstances of sustaining bodily injuries by the latters.
Necessary investigatory actions are conducted to provide the comprehensive, objective and complete investigation of circumstances of the case.
