Within the framework of the criminal proceeding investigated in Abovyan Investigative Division of Kotayk Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee urgent investigative and procedural actions are conducted to find out all circumstances of hooliganism committed with a weapon, illegal keeping of pneumatic weapon, causing bodily injuries to minors.

On July 8, 2023 at 00:22 a report was received from a citizen informing that at one of the restaurants in Jrvezh village unknown persons invited the minors out of the restaurant and caused injuries to three of them with a pneumatic weapon.

The operative group of Kotayk Regional Department of the Police of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs immediately left for the scene.

A criminal proceeding was initiated according to the Part 3 of the Article 297 and the Part 1 of the Article 334 of RA Criminal Code within the framework of which the three minors were found the victim.

Pursuant to initial data, on the day of the incident, in order to clarify personal matters, according to prior agreement, a row erupted between the minors and a group of people (pursuant to initial data – also minors) which turned into brawl. During it one of those arguing with minors, taking the pneumatic weapon out of the car, fired shots towards them causing two of them bodily injuries.

During preliminary investigation necessary investigative actions, among them inspection of the scene were conducted. The victim-minors were questioned with participation of a psychologist and their legal representatives. Forensic medical expertises were commissioned against them but they refused to be subjected to forensic medical expertise.

Necessary measures are taken to find out the whole frame of those involved in the incident, to find and bring them to the investigative body, to give a legal assessment to the actions of each, to find the pneumatic weapon which is the instrument of crime.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
