A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Nork Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on willful infliction of heavy bodily damage.

Pursuant to initial data, on January 20, 2019 a call was received in Central Division of the Police from “University Hospital N 1” informing that ambulance group N 02 took a 25 year-old young man to hospital with a diagnosis of “cut-pierced wound on the left part of the abdomen, cut-pierced wound on the frontal part of the right lthigh”.

A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Nork Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code.

According to initial data, during the argument that took place in one of the bookmaker offices operating in Yerevan the resident, born in 1997, stabbed 25 year-old young man on different parts of his body causing heavy bodily injuries.

On January 20, 2019 the person having committed the alleged crime turned himself to the Investigative Body of Kentron and Nork Marash administrative districts of the Investigative Committee, confessed and presented the knife that was the crime tool. Signature not to leave was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.

Forensic medical, forensic trace and forensic biological examinations were commissioned.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
