On May 18, 2020 at 22:40 a call was received from «Abovyan» medical center informing that the resident of Arzni with cut-pierced wound on the frontal part of the abdomen was taken to them. The latter told that he had been stabbed at gas station on Tbilisyan highway, Yerevan.

A criminal case was initiated in Kotayk Police Division according to the Point 9 of the Part 2 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code (willful infliction of heavy bodily damage) preliminary investigation of which is conducted in Abovyan Investigative Division of Kotayk Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.

In the result of urgent investigatory actions conducted within the criminal case it was found out that the resident of Arzni had sustained the mentioned injury on May 18, 2020 at about 21:30 during the argument with the fellow villager in the yard of one of the houses of Arzni village of Kotayk province. 52 year-old man had stabbed his fellow villager causing heavy bodily damage and fled.

Through inspection of the scene blood-like traces were found and taken, a number of people were questioned, appropriate forensic examinations were commissioned.

Measures are taken to find the person having committed the alleged crime and bring him to the investigative body.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
