In the framework of the criminal case investigated in the Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee stabbing of 34 year-old man was disclosed. One person was arrested on suspicion of committing the alleged crime.

Pursuant to initial data, on February 19, 2019 at 04:35 a call was received from a medical center in RA Police Division of Erebuni informing that a citizen, born in 1985, with diagnosis of “cut-pierced penetrating wound on the left part of the chest, left-handed pneumothorax” was taken to medical center by the ambulance group N 43.

The investigatory-operative group left for the medical center immediately after the call. The register book of the hospital was examined, the clothes the injured was wearing were confiscated.

A criminal case was initiated in the RA IC Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code.

In the result of urgent investigatory and operative-intelligence measures the crime scene, motive, as well as the frame of those involved was found out.

Through preliminary investigation it was found out that 34 year-old man had been caused heavy bodily injury during the argument over domestic matters that took place in one of the houses on Mishurini Street, Yerevan by his acquaintance – 21 year-old resident of Yerevan.

On February 19, 2019 the resident of Yerevan, born in 1998, was apprehended in RA Police Division of Erebuni on suspicion of committing the mentioned crime. The latter was arrested.

Forensic medical, forensic biological and forensic trace examinations were commissioned.

The relevant police subdivision was tasked to find the knife which was the crime tool.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
