The Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee accepted the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to Armenia
On September 22, the Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee Hayk Grigoryan accepted the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Italian Republic to the Republic of Armenia Vincenzo Del Monaco. During the meeting a wide range of issues of mutual interest were discussed. The Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee, welcoming the Ambassador, highly appreciated the friendly relations between the two countries and highlighted the importance of the traditions of cooperation existing between the law enforcement bodies of the two countries, in this context touching upon the prospects for further rapprochement of interaction.
“During the activity of the Investigative Committee, we have managed to feel the support of our colleagues from Italy, one of the particular manifestations of which is the proper legal assistance provided as a result of the execution of the requests for legal assistance sent to the competent authorities of the Italian Republic in the cases investigated by the RA Investigative Committee, due to which it was possible to ensure the comprehensiveness, completeness and objectivity of the preliminary investigation in a number of criminal cases,” Hayk Grigoryan said.
The parties also touched upon the visit of General Maurizio Muscara, Attaché of the Financial Guard of the Italian Embassy in the Russian Federation to the RA Investigative Committee in March 2020, as a result of which a draft Memorandum of Understanding was developed, the signing of which, due to the epidemic, has been postponed.
At the end of the meeting, the Ambassador thanked for the warm welcome and noted that the Embassy was ready to make every effort to implement joint programs of the two countries.
