Representatives of the Embassy of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Armenia Visited the RA Investigative Committee (photos)
Deputy Head of Mission of the British Embassy in Yerevan, His Majesty's Consul Paul Morris paid a visit to the RA Investigative Committee. The delegation headed by him was received by the Deputy Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee Arsen Ayvazyan who considered the establishment of cooperation-oriented communication between the Committee and the Embassy of the United Kingdom in Armenia as gratifying.
Arsen Ayvazyan underlined that the RA Investigative Committee was ready for close collaboration with the Embassy as well as with the law enforcement bodies of the United Kingdom, exchange of experience and information, implementation of joint projects aimed at reforms in the law enforcement sphere.
Mr. Morris appreciated the Committee’s willingness to collaborate highlighting the significance of enhancing safeguards for the protection of citizens' rights of both countries within criminal proceedings and fostering efforts in combating crime.
Issues related to enhancement of promptness and effectiveness in responding to investigative requests between the law enforcement bodies of both countries, the implementation of the process of applying to the competent authorities with requests, as necessary, in relation to the data on the citizens of Armenia and the United Kingdom within the framework of criminal proceedings were discussed at the meeting.
Other issues of mutual interest were also discussed.
