Heather Bergey, DoJ FBI Legal Attaché in Armenia and Georgia Visited the RA Investigative Committee (photos)
Arsen Ayvazyan, Deputy Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee received today Heather Bergey, DoJ FBI Legal Attaché in Armenia and Georgia.
The Deputy Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee thanked the guest for making a serious personal contribution to the development of the upwardly developing cooperation between the RA Investigative Committee and the US FBI during her activities, which was marked with signing of a memorandum of understanding between the RA Investigative Committee and the U.S. FBI in May, 2023.
Arsen Ayvazyan added that the cooperation continues to produce tangible results, particularly in capacity development of the RA IC investigators in fight against money laundering and several types of transnational crimes, in the areas of disclosure of some particularly grave crimes investigated in the RA IC with the support shown by the U.S. FBI.
Mrs. Bergey, in her turn, highly appreciated the warm and effective relations formed with the RA Investigative Committee in the previous years.
During the meeting the work done jointly was summed up and evaluated, the current needs of the RA Investigative Committee and new directions for further cooperation of both institutions were discussed.
