The death of 13 year-old girl caused by strongly expressed swelling in lungs and brain

In the result of investigation conducted in Vagharshapat Investigative Division of Armavir Regional Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee the cause of 13 year-old child’s death was found.

On September 10, 2015 at 19:10 a call was received in “Vagharshapat” medical center informing that the body of 13 year-old resident of Ejmiatsin was taken to the medical center.

In response to media queries we inform that forensic medical examination was commissioned to find the cause of the child’s death. According to the result of forensic examination, the cause of 13 year-old girl’s death was strongly expressed swelling in lungs and brain caused by diabetes.

According to forensic expert, through examination of medical documents it was grounded that “diabetes of first type, (insulin dependent)” had been diagnosed. During the forensic examination of the body morphological changes typical of the mentioned disease, the girl suffered from while she was alive, and was directly connected with the cause of death, were found.

Through forensic examination objective features of bodily damages were not found.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
