A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on inflicting heavy bodily injuries to two young men.

On May 13, 2018 at 22:25 a call was received from «Saint Gregory the Illuminator» medical center informing that two residents of Yerevan - one of them, born in 1993, with a diagnosis of polytrauma, cut wound on the frontal part of the abdomen, the other, born in 1997, with a diagnosis of polytrauma, cut-pierced wound on the lumber region of the abdomen, head injury were taken to medical center.

A criminal case was initiated in the RA IC Investigative Division of Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code (2 counts), the young men were found the injured party and necessary investigatory and operative-searching measures are taken to find out the circumstances of the case.

During preliminary investigation actual data were obtained on the allegation that the young men had sustained the heavy bodily injuries during the incident that took place in one of the yards of lane 1, Bakunts of the city of Yerevan, through inspection of the scene blood like traces, 8 wooden and broken glass pieces similar to blackjack were found and taken.

Forensic medical examinations were commissioned.

The appropriate subdivision of the police was tasked to take measures to identify the person (people) having committed the alleged crime, find and bring them to the investigative body.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
