As a Result of Mutual Shooting with Enemy Servicemen Received Firearm Bodily Injuries
On 23 July, 2021 at about 17:00 while performing their duties at the combat base of protection area of the unit N of the RA Ministry of Defense located in the administrative area of Kut community of Gegharkunik Marz, as a result of mutual shooting with enemy, serviceman of compulsory military service Arman Gurgen Atasyan, conscripts Lernik Henrik Navoyan and Yurik Ashot Ohanyan received firearm injuries.
They were taken to Gegharkunik garrison hospital where A. Atasyan’s condition was assessed as extremely serious.
A criminal case was initiated in the Fifth garrison unit of General Military Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Points 1, 2, 7 and 13 of the Part 2 of the Article 34-104 of RA Criminal Code.
Preliminary investigation is underway.
