As of April 7, 10 criminal cases initiated on attempt to vote more than once, 3 of them sent to court

In the framework of the criminal case investigated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee charge was pressed for attempt to vote more than once in polling station N 23/02.
 

On April 2, 2017 a report was received informing that at about 09:13 an attempt to vote more than once was recorded in polling station N 23/02.
 

A criminal case was initiated in RA IC Lori Regional Investigative Department according to the Article 34-153 of RA Criminal Code and necessary investigatory actions were conducted to find the circumstances of the case.
 

Through preliminary investigation actual data were obtained on the allegation that on the morning of April 2 the voter of polling station N 23/02 A. Hovhannisyan took part in NA elections in the order defined by law. However, a while after voting he went to the same polling station to vote again. The signal of identification device immediately went on in the result of which the commission prevented the attempt of voting more than once.   
 

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence on April 6, 2017 charge was pressed against A. Hovhannisyan according to the Article 34-153 of RA Criminal Code and signature not to leave was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.
 

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
 

As of April 7, 10 criminal cases were initiated on attempt to vote more than once during NA elections held on April 2 preliminary investigation of which is conducted in RA IC territorial subdivisions. In the framework of 8 criminal cases charge was pressed against 8 persons, preliminary investigation of three of them was completed and criminal cases with the bill of indictment were sent to prosecutor supervising the legality of preliminary investigation.
 

Preliminary investigation of 7 criminal cases is ongoing.
