Banditry Committed against Shop of Souvenirs and Golden Jewelry Disclosed; Resident of Sisian Arrested
Within the criminal case investigated in Sisian Investigative Division of Syunik Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on banditry committed against the shop of souvenirs and golden jewelry a number of circumstances were found out, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified.
On February 17, 2021 at about 12:55 for the purpose of stealing somebody else’s property the person having committed the alleged crime entered the shop of souvenirs and golden jewelry located in G. Nzhdeh Street of Sisian community, using violence with a knife against the assistant stole golden jewelry in significant amount and fled.
A criminal case was initiated in Sisian Investigative Division of Syunik Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Points 3 and 4 of the Part 2 of the Article 175 (banditry) of RA Criminal Code.
In the result of urgent investigative actions and operative-intelligence measures the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is a resident of Sisian community, born in 1987. The latter was arrested on suspicion of committing banditry and gave a self-incriminating testimony presenting a number of circumstances of the case among them the place where the stolen goods were kept, the stolen golden jewelry was found and confiscated. Investigative action of person’s recognition was conducted during which the injured – the shop assistant recognized the person having committed the alleged crime. Blood sample was taken from him, forensic medical, forensic biological and forensic trace examinations were commissioned.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
Investigative and procedural actions are conducted to provide the comprehensive, complete and objective investigation of circumstances of the case.
