On March 31, 2020 at 10:33 a call was received from a resident of Syunik province informing that some people had entered the house of his neighbor and committed theft.

Through investigation conducted within the criminal case initiated in Sisian Investigative Division of Syunik Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee it was found out that the resident of Syunik, reaching prior agreement with his acquaintance on committing banditry against his fellow villager, on March 30, 2020 ambushed outside and his acquaintance illegally entered the apartment of the above-mentioned resident by removing the bathroom glass and with a kitchen knife threatening to use violence dangerous for her life, stole golden and silver jewelry, as well as a mobile phone causing damage in significant amount. After it they fled.     

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against one of those having committed the alleged crime according to the Points 3 and 4 of the Part 2 of the Article 175 (banditry) of RA Criminal Code, against the other – according to the Points 3 and 4 of the Part 2 of the Article 38-175 (banditry complicity) of RA Criminal Code.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
