Casualties in the result of the shots fired by the enemy were mainly women and elders
Criminal cases were initiated in Tavush Regional Investigative Department on murder of 3 residents, murder attempt against 4 residents of border village of Armenia and willful destruction of their properties committed on September 24, 2015 from Azeri combat positions. Five of seven casualties were women, three of them were killed.
On September 24, 2015 at about 16:00 out of motive of national hate, with the intend to illegally deprive from life, shots were fired from the Azeri combat positions of Armenian-Azeri borderline towards the house of the resident of the village of Paravaqar of Tavush region, Paytsar Aghajanyan, born in 1932 . As a result, the latter died of the bodily injury she had sustained.
On September 24, 2015 from 17:00 to 18:00 with the intend to illegally deprive from life in a way dangerous for many people’s life, out of motive of national hate, shots were fired from weapons of different calibers from combat positions of the Republic of Azerbaijan towards the village of Berdavan of Tavush region. As a result, the resident of Berdavan, mother of two children, 41 year-old Sonya Revazyan died of fatal injuries caused by shell debris near the barn and Shushan Asatryan, born in 1921, died in her wagon house. The latter’s daughter, born in 1953, Arpik Maralchyan, who was at the wagon house, as well as the resident of the same village Armen Hakhverdyan, born in 1971, who was at the parking lot of the village sustained injuries caused by shell debris.
At about 17:30 shots were fired from weapons of different calibers from Azeri combat positions towards the village of Aygehovit of Tavush region, as well. As a result, two residents - Gurgen Simonyan, born in 1931, and Nune Shahnazaryan, born in 1970, who were in their yards, sustained shrapnel injuries.
Criminal cases were initiated in Tavush Regional Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee according to the Points 1, 6 and 13 of the Part 2 of the Article 104, the Points 1, 6 and 13 of the Part 2 of the Article 34-104 and the Articles 185 of RA Criminal Code.
Investigation is conducted, expertise were commissioned. It was impossible to conduct immediate inspection of the site on the same day as the enemy kept firing shots from weapons of different calibers.
