In the result of urgent investigative and procedural actions conducted in the Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee the case of 44 year-old man’s murder was disclosed.
 

On July 12, 2023 operative information was received on the allegation that 20 year-old young man, registered in Martuni community, living on a rental basis in one of the houses on Yerkatughayinner Street of Yerevan had killed 44 year-old owner of the mentioned house. The investigative-operative group immediately left for the scene.
 

With regard to the case a criminal proceeding was initiated and in the result of investigative actions conducted and joint measures taken together with the officers of Erebuni division of the Police of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs, the above-mentioned young man was found and arrested on the base of reasonable suspicion of committing the crime.
 

Inspection of the scene with the latter’s presence was conducted during which he presented circumstances significant for the proceeding to the law enforcement bodies.
 

Particularly, pursuant to data obtained at this moment through investigation, on July 11, 2023 at about 00:30 a row erupted between the house owner and the young man during which the house owner scolded the young man for which the latter strangled 44 year-old man with an iron wire then concealed the body in the wardrobe.
 

Through inspection of the scene a man’s body with traces of violence was found in the wardrobe in the living-room, the iron, which is the instrument of the crime, was also found and confiscated.
 

Forensic medical, forensic trace expertises were commissioned to find out circumstances of importance to the criminal proceeding.
 

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 20 year-old young man according to the Part 1 of the Article 155 of RA Criminal Code.
 

A motion was submitted to court to use detention as a pretrial measure against him.
 

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Measures are taken to find out all circumstances of the case.
 

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
